5.6.1 Close the Chipper Hopper

Pull and hold the chipper-hopper latch pin out of the upper
latch plate.

Tilt the chipper hopper to the closed position. See

Align the chipper-hopper latch pin with the hole in the lower
latch plate.

Release the chipper-hopper latch pin.
Make sure that the pin engages with the hole in the lower
latch plate, and that the chipper hopper cannot move.

5.6.2 Open the Chipper Hopper

Pull and hold the chipper-hopper latch pin out of the lower
latch plate.

Tilt the chipper hopper to the open position. See

Figure 16.

Align the chipper-hopper latch pin with the hole in the upper
latch plate.

Release the chipper-hopper latch pin.
Make sure that the pin engages with the hole in the upper
latch plate, and that the chipper hopper cannot move.
