7.2 Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
No picture or No sound
Ensure that the TV is turned On.
Check that the power cord is inserted into wall power outlet.
Check your antenna direction and/or location.
Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.
Check volume and check whether the MUTE button is pressed.
Poor picture quality
Adjust the Colour setting.
Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.
Lines and streaks in picture
Check antenna (Change the direction of antenna).
Service is not running or
scrambled
Check the whether the common interface module and smart card is correctly
inserted.
Check that the smart card is appropriate for the selected service.
The remote control does not
work
Check that the remote control points directly towards the TV.
Check that nothing blocks the front panel.
Ensure that the batteries are installed with correct polarity ( + to +, - to - ).
Check the batteries are drained.
The TV freezes
If the TV freezes the end user needs to be advised to plug out from mains
and reconnect.
Some interactive features are provided by broadcaster and may not be available in all areas.
