3.2. Thermal print head characteristics:
NOTICE:
The thermal print head is the most sensitive part of the printer. Please observe the follow-
ing:
Do not touch the print head’s protective glass layer by hand. Do not use sharp objects
(e.g., a knife or screwdriver) while cleaning the print head.
During the print process, ensure that the inscription material is dirt-free and that dirt
cannot be pulled under the print head. This may damage the head.
Ensure a smooth inscription surface. Rough surfaces act like sandpaper, and reduce
the life of the print head.
Clean the head regularly (see section 9.1).
If possible, print with a low print head temperature.
The print head can easily be damaged if handled inappropriately. Damages resulting
from inappropriate handling will forfeit the warranty.
3.3. Maintenance information for the thermal transfer printer:
Routine maintenance for the print head and the roller is essential in prolonging the life-
span of these components.
When inscribing “markingSTRIP,” clean the device after every 50 meters.
