On the top side of the Industrial Switch there are DIP switches to configure the
alarm and arbiter configurations.
The meaning of the DIP switch settings are described below:

DIP-switches let the user manually turn “ON/OFF” any port, the external Alarm,
or the redundant power supply.
DIP-switch to the “ON” position to manually enable the alarm function for the
port. Default is “OFF”.
The following is the Recommended Procedure for configuring and setting DIP-
switches during initial installation:

Turn all DIP-switches “OFF”.

Install the Industrial Switch into your network.
3
Decide which port(s) need to be monitored or should trigger the alarm.
4
Turn the corresponding port DIP-switch “ON”.
5
Activate the Industrial Switch.
