11.3 Measures and Conditions for Shielded Power

Supply of the Module

Shielded version of U

and 0 V_U

in connecting lead for unprotected

installation required!

To prevent a short circuit of power supply U

with an external voltage, wires U

and 0 V_U

must be shielded in the connecting lead according to EN 60204-1 or

EN ISO 13849-2. The shield must have an overlap of at least 85 % and be reliably

connected to the connector.

Attach ground shield or use insulation monitoring!

The connecting lead ground shield and functional grounding connection of the

interference-free modules must be connected to lines 0 V_U

and 0 V_U

. In

addition, insulation monitoring according to EN 61557 can also be used. See the

following illustrations:
