Behavior when group error LED (LED E) is flashing
A flashing group error LED (LED E) indicates that the F I/O module has detected
an internal safety critical error. The cause can be a defect in the F I/O module, an
environmental EMC error or defective firmware. In this case, switch off the F I/O
module completely and then switch it back on. If the firmware is defective, it must
be updated (see Section “Diagnostics” > “Firmware Changes”).
If the problem occurs several times, it points to a defect in the F I/O module. In
this case, return the F I/O module to WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH & Co. KG for
fault analysis. Defective firmware is detected via the corresponding diagnostics
(see Section “Diagnostics”).

Coding switch is inaccessible when the I/O module is plugged in!
To set the PROFIsafe address on the coding switch, you must power down the
fieldbus node and then unplug the I/O module from the fieldbus node.
Set the PROFIsafe address as described in the section "Setting the PROFIsafe
Address".
