750-806 Fieldbus Controller DeviceNet
TM
Manual
Version 2.0.0
7.
Now select the DeviceNet
™
Fieldbus Controller (750-806) in the tree
structure under the “Communication Adapter” folder.
8.
Double-click to apply or drag & drop the selection to the right side of the
screen.
The fieldbus controller is added as a second icon on the right side of the
screen.
The correct configuration settings for incoming and outgoing data (TX/RX) are
required for proper function with the DeviceNet™ network. The TX/RX
configuration must match the node configuration.
9.
For the entries in the “RX” and “TX” fields, add up all input bits/bytes and
all output bits/bytes. Individual bits are always amended to full bytes.
From the fieldbus master view, the sample node has the following data
configuration:

Make sure that TX/RX are configured correctly!
The PFC output variables are defined from the perspective of the programmable
fieldbus controller. This involves input variables from the perspective of the
DeviceNet
™
fieldbus. These are added to the RX settings. Accordingly, the PFC
input variables for access from a PLC are output variables for the fieldbus.
Therefore, these are added to the TX settings:
PLC input variable = PFC output variable
PFC input variable = PLC output variable
