Caution – danger of damaging the device
To prevent voltage and power losses, the cable should be as short
as possible and not be interrupted.
For this reason avoid additional switches, plugs or socket strips.

Determine the required cross section of the cable in relation to the cable
length according to the following table.

Make sure that the polarity is correct.

Before starting up the appliance for the first time, check whether the
operating voltage and the battery voltage match (see type plate).
➤
Make sure that the cable at the positive battery terminal (fig. b 2,
page 8) is protected with a fuse (fig. b 3, page 8):
– Cargo 500, Cargo 500P, FP150, FP150P, T22, T32, T56, T82, T162N:
15 A
– Cargo 500P-18, T162F: 25 A

Plug the 12/24 V connection cable into the DC socket on the cooling con-
tainer (fig.
b 1, page 8).

Connect the red cable (fig. b rt, page 8) to the positive terminal of the
battery (fig. b 2, page 8).
➤
Connect the black cable (fig. b sw, page 8) to the negative terminal of
the battery (fig. b 2, page 8).
