4.5 Starting the Machine
Procedure Perform the procedures below to start the machine.
1. Open the fuel valve (a2) .
2. Push the engine throttle lever to “RUN” (b2) .
3. Pull out the starter handle until you feel strong resistance, then let it return
slowly.
4. Push the decompression lever (c) down.
NOTE: Lever will return automatically when the starter is pulled.
5. Pull the starter handle to start the engine. If the engine does not start, repeat
steps 3 and 4.
CAUTION: NEVER operate the engine without the air cleaner. Engine will
damage.
Result The machine is now ready
4.6 Stopping the Machine
Perform the following procedures to stop the engine.
Procedure 1. Place the engine throttle in the “Stop” position (c) .
2. If engine keeps running, stop it by closing fuel valve (b1)
CAUTION: DO NOT stop engine using the decompression lever.
