4.13 Adjusting the Pitch
Background Changing the pitch (angle) of the trowel blades enables the operator to finish
concrete from the wet surface stage through the hard finishing stage (burnishing).
Changing
pitch angle Perform the procedure below to change or set the pitch angle of the trowel blades.
1. Slow the machine.
2. Set the desired pitch on the left side of the machine. To increase the pitch, turn
the pitch control inward (a) .
3. Adjust the right side to match.
4. Use the pitch indicator (b) to adjust pitch equally on both right and left trowel
blades.
