8.7 Removing the standard journal coupling

☞

Remove all 4 connecting plugs

(on left and right) from the housing and drain the oil

into a container.

☞

When the oil has been drained, fit the connecting plug back on again.

Notice!

Check the oil for signs of contamination (water) and metal particles.

☞

Slacken the 4 fastening screws of shaft

and remove them with plate washer

from

standard journal coupling

or from the drive-side

In order to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment:

Before removing the screws from securing ring

, secure the standard

journal coupling with lifting gear or similar equipment.

Remove screws

of securing ring

☞

Tighten both set screws

on securing ring

. Turn the screws alternately to remove the

securing ring from end cap

and base block
