• Check the
O-Ring for cracks, skewing, distortion, fine splitting,
scratches, embedded sand, etc. Do not use the case if you find any of
these.
Maintenance
• Do not use any sharp or pointed objects to stab any parts of the
waterproof case or its waterproof performance may be affected.
• After using the camera with the waterproof case in a location near
sand, wash the case thoroughly in fresh water with the buckle
fastened to remove salt and sand, then wipe with a soft, dry cloth. We
then recommend that you submerge the case in fresh water for about
30 minutes. If the case is left with salt on it, metal portions may be
damaged or rust and affect future underwater performance.
• If any substance is found on the case, wash it off thoroughly using
slightly warm water
• Wipe the inside of the case with a soft dry cloth. Do not wash it with
water.
• Do not use any type of solvent such as alcohol, benzene or thinner for
cleaning, as this might damage the surface finish of the case.
• To prevent deterioration of the
O-Ring, store the case in a cool,
ventilated location. Do not leave the buckle fastened.
• Take precautions to prevent dust from collecting on the
O-Ring.
• Avoid storing the case in a cold, very hot, or humid place, or together
with naphthalene or camphor, as these conditions might damage the
case.
Perform the above maintenance each time you use the case.
