answering system operation

activate the answering system

The 

aNS oN/oFF

 must be on (the button lght wll be on) n order for the 

machne to answer calls and record messages. If the button lght s off 
then calls wll not be answered.
To  turn  on/off  the  answerng  system,  press 

aNS  oN/oFF

  to  choose 

between on and off.
Use the volume control button on the telephone base to adjust the volume  
at anytme durng the setup procedure.

When

Set number of rings

Ths feature allows you to select how many tmes the telephone rngs before the answerng system 
answers. You can choose from two, four, sx, eght rngs or toll saver. When toll saver s actvated, the 
answerng system answers after two rngs when there are new messages, and after sx rngs when 
there are no new messages.

Set telephone base date and time

The answerng system announces the day and tme the message was receved before playng each 
message. Set the date and tme before usng the answerng system so all messages are dated correctly. 
Settng of handset date and tme wll smultaneously update the telephone base date and tme.
The system wll announce 

“Please set the handset clock” 

before message playback f you do not set 

the date and tme before usng ths system.
