2. Tension Control System™
The Tension Control System™ is a patented 4 position dial control that adapts the internal tension to suit
every type of curl: no more tugging and pulling of hair during laborious blow-drying. The internal tension is
weakest on position 1 and very strong on position 4.
Position 1 - Straight/Wavy Hair
(this is the weakest setting)
Position 2 - Curly Hair
(this is a stronger setting than position 1)
Position 3 - Very Curly Hair
(this is an even stronger setting)
Position 4 - Frizzy Hair
(this is the strongest setting and can be used
on frizzy hair and hard to style hair)
To adjust the Tension Control System™, turn the dial clockwise until the control clicks into place. Ensure
that the number corresponding to your hair type is visible when looking over the top of the product (number
should be positioned so it is in line with the ceramic smoothing plate).
3. Internal Ionic Generator
The Hair Designer™ Airstyle features an advanced internal ionic generator. This generator
conditions hair by emitting negative ions to reduce static, by leaving hair silky and shiny with
reduced frizz. (To fi nd out further detail about how this feature works, please refer to ‘How does
the ionic feature work?’).
4. 2 temperature settings plus cool setting
There are 2 heat/speed settings, plus the cool setting. The low heat/speed setting (position 1) combines an
ideal airfl ow and temperature for shaping fi ner, damaged and weakened hair.
The airfl ow on Position 1 is ideal for dry hair.
The high heat/speed setting combines a stronger airfl ow and higher temperature for curly to frizzy hair.
The airfl ow on Position 2 is ideal for damp hair.
Use the cool setting on warm hair to rapidly cool and set the style in place for a longer lasting effect.
The shot of cool air is ideal after styling the hair.
