10 Appendix – Packing Guide

Before disassembling the simulator, read the instructions on disassembly (

There are two types of packaging. Read the corresponding packing guide before
packing the components into the transport boxes.

• Packaging in cardboard boxes (

section 10.1 on page 67).

• Packaging in plastic transport containers (

section 10.2 on page 73).

10.1 Cardboard Boxes

Caution

Risk of injury

The packaged simulator is heavy. Trying to move or to lift the simulator on your
own could cause injury or damage to the simulator.

The shipping boxes should be transported with a pallet truck only.

Always place the transport boxes on a level, stable surface that can se-
curely bear the total weight.

Make sure that the transport boxes cannot fall.

Overview of the Transport Boxes

Eyesi Surgical is delivered in a large shipping box. The shipping box contains the
disassembled parts, which are packed into smaller cardboard boxes. All cardboard
boxes, including the shipping box, are numbered and have the following contents:

Outer shipping box containing all following boxes

Simulator PC

Microscope, operating table, box containing the BIOM (see box 4)

BIOM (box is empty, if no BIOM was ordered)

Microscope foot pedal

Touch screen

Lifting column and angled support feet

Instrument foot pedal

Case with surgical interface head and handpieces (cataract), if ordered

Case with surgical interface head and handpieces (vitreoretinal), if ordered

Product documentation

Monitor arm
