8.2 Troubleshooting

The table below will help you resolve common problems that you may experience.
Never attempt to make any other repairs than the ones listed below. If you have
any other problem, refer to the person in your organization responsible for simulator
maintenance, or contact VRmagic technical service directly.

System still without power

If you have checked the above points but the system is still without power, please
provide the service technician with the answers to the following questions:

Does the table move up/down when the switch on the table front is operated?

Does the touch screen have power? Press the power button on the right side of
the touch screen and wait for a message on the screen.

Disconnect the simulator from its power supply. Observe the LEDs of the simula-
tor PC front panel while re-inserting the power plug. Do the LEDs flicker?

Nothing is displayed in the
microscope.

Microscope is
not connected.

Make sure all cables coming
out of the lower end of the
microscope arm are connect-
ed to the corresponding ports
of the simulator PC.

OLEDs need
resetting.
