To display station information, repeatedly pressing 

MODE

MENU

 will cycle through station information that can 

include radio text, programme type, frequency, stereo/mono, Mains Power / Battery Power, time and 
date. The information type you select will then be displayed for the FM stations you select.

To set the time: in FM mode your Retro Mk II will synchronize with the time and date of the station.

iPod or iPhone

Connect your iPod/iPhone: gently push the spring-loaded panel with the VQ logo on it. It will slide out 
to reveal the iPod/iPhone connector. Dock your iPod/iPhone.

If the display shows the clock, press Power 

MODE

MENU

 to switch to working mode.

To switch to iPod/iPhone press 

MODE

 repeatedly until the display briefly shows ‘Switch to iPod’. The 

display will then show ‘

Connecting

’. When an iPod/iPhone is connected, the screen displays the play/

pause status. Current track time and track name.  Otherwise the display shows the appropriate play 
status (Playing or Stopped). Each time you press 

MODE

MENU

, another set of information is displayed, cycling 

through track, artist, album, power status, time and date.  If no device is docked, it will show ‘

Insert 

iPod

’. 

To select tracks to play, use your iPod/iPhone to navigate to your music. You can then navigate using 
the controls on your Retro Mk II :

a. Press

 or

 to play previous or next track.

b. Press 

MODE

MENU

 to play or pause the track.

c. Press and hold 

MODE

MENU

 or 

MODE

MENU

 to search the current track using high speed rewind or fast-forward.  

Play will resume when you release the button.

BLUETOOTH Streaming

To switch to 

BLUETOOTH 

press 

MODE

 button repeatedly until the display shows 

BLUETOOTH

.

Enable Bluetooth on your devices.
In your device, select the option to add a new Bluetooth device.

Start the pairing on your device. Do this by selecting “

Retro Mk II

” from the list of available devices 

shown on your device screen. This will connect automatically once paired. Retro Mk II will show 

Connect success

”. 

NOTE : The auto pairing will search for 1 minute for an available device.  If nothing is paired, the display will show 

Pairing

”.

To disconnect from Retro Mk II, press and hold the MODE button until the display shows “

Pairing

”.

NOTE : You will need to disconnect any connected Bluetooth devices from Retro Mk II to stream from a different 
device. Bluetooth will automatically disconnect if you are out of the range of the Retro Mk II.

Controlling Bluetooth music playback

You can control the music on your Retro Mk II to your Bluetooth device wirelessly.

NOTE : You can do vice versa, press the same type of buttons in your Bluetooth device to control the music playback 
function wirelessly.
