8.5.1 PAIRING THE DEVICE WITH THE FM20 WIFI FENCE MANAGER USING A REMOTE
CONNECTION
When pairing the device via a remote connection, the energiser and Fence Manager need not be
in close proximity with one another. This means that the pairing can also be carried out at the
location where the device will later be used.

This function is only possible with the FM20 WiFi Fence Manager.
1. Open the main menu and select the pairing
menu ( Pairing ) using the Settings button (7).
2. Confirm the selection with the Enter button (6)
3. To access the information on pairing for the
Fence Manager, select the menu item Pair new
using the Settings button (7), and confirm your
selection with the Enter button (6).
The information on pairing is displayed and the
blue LED flashes.
The device can be paired with the Fence Manager.

The code displayed for pairing the device is valid for a maximum of 4 hours.

After 3 minutes, the display returns to the previous view and the LED goes out.

The code can also be accessed via the QR code displayed.
4. To pair the device with the Fence Manager, enter the code displayed in the FM20 WiFi Fence
Manager using the remote connection function.
Device list
Displays all devices paired with the energiser. The energiser can
be paired with a maximum of three devices. Selecting RESET
removes all the paired devices and changes the MAC address.
Info
As a result of this reset, data can to longer be sent or received. This function should be
implemented e.g. if the product is resold, in order to ensure that the original owner has no
means of controlling the energiser via a cloud application.
Pairing code
As soon as the device is paired with a new device, a code is generated. This can be redisplayed
here. The code is valid for 4 hours.
