Repair instructions

1. Install the outer bearing race. Use special tool no
884932.

NOTE! Make sure that the double bearing box is posi-
tioned horizontally. Turn the special tool when install-
ing the other bearing race.

17. When replacing the outer bearing races, the bear-
ing races must be pressed out. Use special tool
9991801 handle with 884938 and 884933 holding fix-
ture. If necessary, recondition the universal joint. See
chapter

Assembly, models
290A, SP and DP

NOTE! When assembling the upper gear housing it is
very important that the gears are correctly positioned
in relation to each other. This applies not only to the
backlash between the gear teeth but also to the gear
teeth contact. Correct gear teeth contact spreads the
load to which the gears are subjected over a larger
area of the gear tooth. This preventing gear break-
down and abnormal wear and at the same time provid-
ing a quiet operation.
