Operation

Make sure the battery terminals are clean and all electrical connections are good.

Always replace the test probe cover after use.

Current flows through all preceding LED indicators, so the highest indicated voltage

should be taken.

a) Function test / self test

•  Before using, perform a test on a known voltage source.
•  Do not use if one or several functions fail or if no functionality is indicated.

b) Testing

The “-” polarity LED will light up if

(1)

 /

(3)

 and

(6)

 are connected the wrong way

around.

Batteries / lights

1.  Connect the test clamp

(6)

 to the

negative

 terminal.

2.  Use the test probe

(1)

 to make contact with the

positive

 terminal.

3.  The voltage indicator LEDs

(4)

will light up when a voltage is present.

Cables

1.  Connect the test clamp

(6)

 to the

negative

 terminal.

2.  Adjust the probe slider

(5)

and wedge the cable inside the cable guide

(2)

.

3.  Gently apply pressure to the probe slider to pierce the cable with the punch-through test

probe

(3)

.

4.  The voltage indicator LEDs

(4)

will light up when a voltage is present.
