Proceed as follows to measure AC/DC currents up to 400 mA:
- Switch on the power unit on the operating switch (3).
- Select DMM mode with the MODE button.
- Connect the black measuring line with the COM socket and
the red measuring line with the mAµA socket till they are plane
at the measuring instrument.
- Switch the rotary selection switch (3) to either µA or mA and
select measuring of direct currents (DC) or alternate currents
(AC) with F1.
- Now connect the two test prods in series with the object to
be measured (battery, circuit etc.); the display indicates the
polarity of the measured value together with the currently
measured value.

F1 (DC):
Switching from direct current measuring (DC) to alternate current
measuring (AC)
F2 (REL):
Relative measuring function – The measuring value is set to 0.000
after pressing the button; now only the relative value to the pre-
vious measuring value is displayed. Press F2 again to deactivate
the relative function.
F3 (RANGE
): Manual range selection - increasing the measuring range. The set
measuring range is indicated on the display. Press AUTO to reac-
tivate the automatic range selection.
F4 (RANGE
): Manual range selection - decreasing the measuring range.
Never measure currents above 400 mA in the mA range, otherwise you
will trigger the fuse and have to replace it.
Proceed as follows to measure AC/DC currents up to 10 A:
- Switch on the power unit on the operating switch (3).
- Select DMM mode with the MODE button.
- Connect the black measuring line with the COM socket and
the red measuring line with the 10A socket till they are plane
at the measuring instrument.
- Switch the rotary selection switch (3) to range „A“ and select
measuring of direct currents (DC) or alternate currents (AC)
with F1.
- Now connect the two test prods in series with the object to
be measured (battery, circuit etc.); the display indicates the
polarity of the measured value together with the currently
measured value.
