Running gear

The design of the front axle on the Passat W8 is identical to the Passat model year 2001. The following
components have been modified to cope with the higher weight and the resulting axle loads:

the wheel bearing housing

●

the wheel bearings

●

the wheel hub, and

●

the tubular subframe
