Adjusting halogen headlights
Overview of halogen headlights:
1 - Left daytime running light bulb -L174- or right daytime run‐
ning light bulb -L175- , left headlight main beam bulb -M30-
or right headlight main beam bulb -M32-
2 - Bulb for front left turn signal -M5- or bulb for front right left
turn signal -M7-
3 - Bulb for left dipped beam -M29- or bulb for right dipped
beam -M31-
Note
Please check that both headlights move evenly when manually
operated headlight range control is functioning.
– Set the appropriate inclination on the headlight adjustment
unit.
• The inclination for headlights with halogen bulbs is “1.0 %”
Note
Percentage given is based on a projection distance of 10 metres.
Adjusting left headlight:
The adjustment bolts for the right headlight are a mirror image.
♦ Height adjustment screw (hexagon socket insert) of bright/
dark boundary for dipped beam -1-
♦ Lateral adjustment bolt (hexagon socket insert) of bright/dark
boundary for dipped beam -2- (lead-sealed for the NAR mar‐
ket)
– First turn height adjustment bolt of bright/dark boundary -1-.
– Then check lateral adjustment, if necessary correct with ad‐
justment screw -2-.

lights
Fog light in right bumper:
Location of adjustment screw on left-hand fog light is a mirror im‐
age.
– Set the appropriate inclination on the headlight adjustment
unit.
• The inclination for fog lights is “2.0%”
