emissions in g/km: for petrol and diesel: combined,
from 191 to 134. For Autogas (BiFuel): combined, from 171 to 169. For natural gas (EcoFuel): combined, from 157 to 156; efficiency class F to B. Please contact your local Volkswagen dealer for de-
tails of the standard equipment and optional extras applicable in your country.
Volkswagen’s Environmental Commendation for vehicles and technologies highlights ecological progress in comparison with pre-
decessor models or comparative models. This is based on Life Cycle Assessments in accordance with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 which
are verified by independent experts – in the case of Volkswagen, by the technical inspection organisation TÜV Nord. The Life Cycle
Assessment covers not only consumption and exhaust emission figures but also the entire life cycle of a Caddy – from its production
and use to the recycling process. This means that the energy used during assembly and the future recycling of materials are taken
into account in the calculation. Detailed results of the Life Cycle Assessment and additional information on how Volkswagen products
and processes are devised to be more environment friendly are given on the Internet: www.umweltpraedikat.de.

Environmental profile of the Caddy.
Reduction in fuel consumption
1)
– 5.7 l/100 km
2)
or 5.1 l/100 km
2)
(with BlueMotion Technology)
instead of 6.2 l/100 km
2)
Reduction in emissions (CO

)
1)
– 149 g/km
2)
or 134 g/km
2)
(with BlueMotion Technology)
instead of 164 g/km
2)
Reduction in other emissions (CO, NO
x
, particulates)
– by complying with Euro 5 emission standard instead of Euro 4
Reduced fuel consumption through
– use of new 4-cylinder TDI engines
– use of gear ratios selected for optimised fuel consumption
Additional savings on the Caddy with
BlueMotion Technology through
– use of tyres with optimised rolling resistance
– use of start/stop system
– use of regenerative braking
– use of wheel spoilers
Resource conservation through
– use of components with longer service life (maintenance-free
diesel particulate filters)
– longer service and oil change intervals
– use of renewable raw materials (e.g. for filter materials)
Other environmental aspects
– recycling type approval – passed successfully

1) The fuel consumption and emission figures listed here have been determined in accordance with the measuring method prescribed by law. These figures do not refer to a single, particular
vehicle and do not constitute part of the offer but are purely for comparison purposes between the various types of vehicle. In addition to the fuel efficiency of a car, driving behaviour as well
as other non-technical factors (e.g. environmental conditions) play a role in determining a car’s fuel consumption and CO
2
emissions. Additional equipment features and accessories (attachment
parts, tyres, etc.) can alter the relevant vehicle parameters – for example weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics – and, together with weather and traffic conditions, influence fuel
consumption and performance figures. Note in accordance with the version of directive 1999/94/EC currently valid: further information on the official fuel consumption and official specific

emissions and power consumption for new passenger car models. It is available free of
charge at every point of sale in the European Union or, for prospective buyers in Germany, at DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Strasse 1, 73760 Ostfildern, and under
www.dat.de. Efficiency classes evaluate vehicles on the basis of CO

emissions taking into account the vehicle’s unladen weight. Vehicles corresponding with the average are given a D rating.
