System Connections
The supplied cables enable a whole system to be connected from the
CH-AB
and
CH-CD
outputs on a V Amp.
Make sure you use the correct cable from the amplifier to V Sub and from the V Sub to a V15.
Use the 8 meter cable to connect from the
CH-AB
and
CH-CD
outputs on a V Amp to a speakon on a V Sub.
Use the 2 meter cable to connect from the spare speakon on the V Sub to a speakon on a V15.
When connecting a V15 via a V Sub, ensure the V15 pin select button is set for +2 -2 operation (pressed in).
If a V15 is used for other applications or in a fixed installation, set the pin select button to +1 -1 (pressed out).
The V Sub is wired +1 and -1 for its input and both speakons are wired in parallel, so either speakon can be
used as the input, the other speakon can be used as a link output. The same applies to the V15, except pins
+1 -1 and +2 -2 can be used as the input depending on the position of the pin select button.
When linking a V15 cabinet to another V15 cabinet that is connected via a V Sub, you must use a cable wired
+2 -2 to +2 -2 and ensure that both V15 pin select buttons are set for +2 -2 operation i.e. pressed in.
Notes
The V15 features a rotatable HF horn that allows the cabinet to be installed in either vertical or horizontal
positions. To change the dispersion first loosen the screws that hold the grill in place. Remove the grill and
undo the bolts holding the HF horn in place. Rotate the HF horn by 90 degrees and replace the bolts that
hold it in place. Attach the grill and tighten the screws that hold it in place. The HF horn is factory aligned for
vertical cabinet positioning. (80 h x 50 v when the cabinet is upright).
The V15 enclosures logo is spring loaded and rotatable. This allows the logo to be displayed upright when the
cabinet is used in either vertical or horizontal positions.
Precautions
1. Install V15 and V Sub enclosures in a dry environment, do not expose the cabinets to rain or moisture.
2. If connecting a V15 via a V Sub, a 4 way speakon to speakon cable must be used from the V Amp to the
V Sub. If a 4 way cable is not used the V15 will not be connected.
3. Only use a speakon to speakon cable wired +2 and -2 to +2 and -2 when connecting from a V Sub to a V15.
If a cable wired 1+ and 1- is used the V15 will receive the same signal as the sub.
