To test the RAM launch standard Creative Diagnose utility (for example, path: 

C:\SB16\diagnose.exe

). Press Enter. First of all, the utility will test Base I/O address, and then asks 

you: "Do you want to test the DRAM?"

Yes

», and test will begin. This will take some time.
