Common directions for using the Flexible adapter ring MB-4XX:
If an MB-4XX is used on rail support, this ring will prevent light leakage
between the lens and the rear of the mattebox.
This kit contains several exchangeable flexible soft rubber rings (also
called
“donuts”), to suit the different diameters of individual lenses.
This ring is attached in the rear end of the mattebox, and secured with
the same quick lock system as is used when the mattebox is mounted
as a clip-on.
This Flexible adapter ring is capable of housing a 138mm round filter. In
order to secure a 138mm round filter in the flexible ring, the provided
“138mm filter clamp” has to be used. If a round 138mm polarizer filter is
used in the flexible adapter ring, then the complete unit can be rotated
in the rear of the mattebox if the quick lock mechanism is released.
Maximum lens front diameter using this flexible adapter ring is 138mm
(
note: 133mm if the 138mm filter clamp is being used
