From the OEM notch on the top right of the stator, count clockwise (×6) vanes 

and mark the outer edge, tracing the profile of the cowl (Figure 40).

Using a die grinder or similar tool, cut the hard plastic lip flush with the cowl of 

the stator (Figure 40).

Cut a rectangle out of the soft rubber section on the back of the fan shroud 

(Figure 41).
