Set-up & Operation
There are no adjustments necessary by the user. The unit comes preset from the factory.
Simply unpack and charge the unit for 16 hours before its first use. To operate, press the
On / Off button and the red ON LED will illuminate continuously indicating that the unit is
powered up. The green Active LED will flicker when speech is detected to indicate that the
loop is transmitting. During operation, the Clipboard can be held across one arm or may be
placed on a desk, counter etc. if required. The unit has an operating range of 1.5m. To preserve
battery life, the Clipboard has an auto-off timer, which can be set for 10, 20 or 30 minutes, or
can be programmed to stay on indefinitely. The unit can be turned off at any time by pressing the
On/Off button. The red ON LED will extinguish.
Batteries and Recharging
The VA1303 will operate continuously for up to 10 hours from a fully charged battery.
To recharge the internal battery, simply connect the unit to the mains supply via the VA1276P
charger supplied.
