4. Special safety instructions
Warning - Risk of electric shock!
To prevent danger to life due to electric shock, please heed the following safety instructions:
• Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
• Never use, expose or put the product near to:
- direct sunlight and dust;
- fire (fireplace, grill, candles), water (water splashes, vases, ponds, bath tube) or heavy moisture.
• Should the product fall into water, then unplug the power cable from the mains outlet. Remove the
product from the water only after it has been disconnected from the mains supply. Get the product
checked by an expert at this stage.
• Do not use sprays or water sprays in close proximity of the product.
Warning - Risk of burning!
To prevent the risk of accident and injury, please heed the following safety instructions:
• Allow the product to cool down completely before you remove or install any accessories.
• Risk of burning! Parts of the product may become very hot during operation. Hold the product
therefore only with the handle.
Warning - Fire hazard!
The product works at high temperatures, please heed the following safety instructions to
prevent the risk of fire:
• If you put the product down while using it, always switch it off for safety reasons.
Warning - Property damage!
Please heed the following instructions to prevent property damage:
• Make sure that any objects such as hairpins or hair clips do not get inside the product. This may
cause a short circuit or damage to the product.
• Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.
• Follow the instructions in the chapter Cleaning and care .
