5. Cleaning and care
5.1 Cleaning
1. Always remove power plug (6) from the power outlet before cleaning and let the
device cool completely.
WARNING – Risk of Electric Shock!
Never immerse this device in water or other fluids. Never hold this device
under running water.
Note:
Never use solvents, abrasives, hard scrubbers, metallic or sharp objects
for cleaning. Solvents are harmful to your health and corrode the plastic parts.
Abrasives and some tools scratch the surface.
WARNING – Risk of Suffocation!
The blades of the cutting units (1, 10) are very sharp. Never touch the blades
with your fingers or hands and keep them away from your body.
2. Clean the outside surfaces of the product with a slightly damp cloth and then dry
them well. Make sure that no water reaches the inside of the product (e.g. switches).
3. Wash the mixing and drinking cup (2) and mixing pitcher (7), lid (11) and cutting
units (1, 10) with warm water and dish detergent. Then rinse them thoroughly with
clear water. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
4. When washing the cutting units (1, 10) hold them with under running water with
the blades facing down. Use a scrubber or similar to remove stubborn residues.
5. Carefully dry off all surfaces of the individual components before using this device
again.
6. Assemble all previously washed and dried parts back together again.
7. Let all parts dry completely before putting them away.
