Cleaning and Maintenance
Unplug the Coffee Maker from the mains power supply and allow to cool fully before
performing any cleaning or maintenance.
Used coffee grounds and coffee powder should be disposed of after each use.
1. Remove the filter and funnel chamber from the Coffee Maker and dispose of the used
coffee grounds. The drip tray and drip tray cover can be removed and emptied by gently
pulling them away from the coffee maker.
2. The filter, funnel chamber, drip tray and drip tray cover can be washed with warm, soapy
water and replaced into the coffee maker.
3. Fill the water tank with cool, clean water. Connect the mains power supply and run a
brewing cycle on the coffee powder setting to clean the internal components of the Coffee
Maker.
4. Disconnect the power supply and allow the coffee maker to cool. Remove any water residue
left in the water tank. Wipe the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Allow it to dry fully before
storage.
Loosely wrap the power supply cord around the base of the coffee maker
and store safely in a cool, dry place.
Caution:
Care should be taken when handling, emptying and cleaning the coffee grinder. The
blades within the filter and funnel chamber are sharp.
Do not immerse the Coffee Maker main body in water or any other liquid.
Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents or scourers to clean the Coffee Maker as this could
cause damage and detract from the surface finish.
Note:
To prolong the service life of the machine the underside of the filter should not be
submerged in water.
Removing Mineral Deposits
Depending on the water quality in your area and how often the Coffee Maker is used mineral
deposits and limescale can build up inside the Coffee Maker.
Fill the water tank to maximum capacity and add a commercial descaling agent which is
suitable for use in Coffee Makers. Follow the instructions supplied with the Commercial
Descaling agent and run any brewing cycles required on the Coffee Powder setting.
Ensure the appliance is cycled with cool, clean water after descaling to remove the descaling
agent from the Coffee Maker before brewing coffee.
