ROUBLESHOOTING

VERVIEW

Server Setup Check

Prior to any troubleshooting, power down the system and be sure 
that the card is properly installed in the system’s PCI slot.  Test 
only one card in the system at a time.

Confirm that the system has the power connected properly.

❏

Confirm that all video and audio cables are connected 
properly.  (Remember video playback occurs with standard 
TVs and monitors but usually not on a PC monitor.)  Select 
the correct input type for the display.  Examples:  Video 1, 
Input 1, Svideo, etc.  Refer to the display manual for use.

❏

Remove all serial cable and network connections from the 
system.

Refer to the cases located in Troubleshooting Tips on page 31 at 
any time during this process.

NOTE

Only authorized technicians should perform board 

troubleshooting or system repairs.  Unauthorized 

repair of systems may void warranty.
