Note You may notice that some of the choices on the
Pages are greyed out and not operating. This is
typically because the
Operation Mode setting for
that Preset (on the
Radio Page
) is set to a mode
that does not use this choice.
For more details see Appendix C.
7. When your configuration is complete, save it to a
file.

5.3.3 Loading a Configuration From the RX
If the existing configuration programmed into your RX only needs
some changes, you can load that configuration into the
Configurator and modify it.
To load a configuration from the RX, follow the steps below.
1. Connect the RX to power and to your PC.
a. Connect the RXU to the RCU (if present) with
coaxial cable.
b. Connect power through the front panel connector
on the RXU (and RCU).
c. Connect the RS-232 cable to the RS-232
connector on the RXU (or RCU if present).
If you are configuring an RXU and RCU that are
connected, you only need to connect the RS-232
cable to
one
of them.
2. Power up both the RXU and RCU.
3. Start the RX Configurator.
Double-click the icon on your PC’s Desktop:
4. The Main Page appears (see Figure 5-7).

5. Click on the Connect to Radio button.
This will establish communication with the Strata RX.
See Figure 5-7.
The
Connect to Radio
button will change its label to
Disconnect
.
6. The Main Page updates to show the hardware
detected.
