The Rotor Fryer will be hot after use, so
handle with care and wear oven
gloves/mitts. Place in the cradle.
CLEANING & LOOKING AFTER YOUR NEW AIRCHEF
1.
Caution: never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
2.
Make sure the plug has been removed from the power socket.
3.
Wait until the unit is completely cool before cleaning. Do not touch the underside of the
Cooking Lid as it will stay hot for quite some time after you have unplugged the appliance.
4.
Do not use abrasive cloths/liquid, as this will damage the AirChef.
5.
Clean Lid and the inside (once bowl is removed) with a damp cloth only. Do not allow
moisture to enter the lid from the vents by the top of the lid’s dome.
6.
The bowl can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but note that frequent cleaning in the
dishwasher may result in fading of the non-stick coating.
If the non-stick coating has been damaged by abrasion with the accessories, do not wash in
the dishwasher as this will only exacerbate the problem.
7.
The accessories can be cleaned the dishwasher, and for burnt on food debris it may help to
soak the parts. Replacements are available from us.
8.
To clean the metal perforated grid on the underside of the lid, wipe with a cloth. However
you MUST ensure no liquid falls on the components that are shielded by the metal grid.
In use and with cooking, it will become discoloured. This is normal and not a cause for
concern or return. You can avoid this happening by use of the Long Life Guard (see the back
page of this manual) which will need changing maybe once or twice a year depending on
your usage cycle.
Thoroughly dry all parts of the appliance.
9.
KEEP the packing with which the accessories were packed when you first opened the
box…you can use these to protect the non-stick surface of the bowl when stowing the
accessories after use. OR use a tea-towel or other soft material to ensure the accessories
don’t damage the bowl’s surface.
COOKING Hints & Tips
!
Always leave room for air to circulate around the food – don’t pile the food up and always
to leave a gap by the bowl side for the air to circulate. No circulation means no cooking.
!
When cooked, you can keep warm/hot by selecting a lower than cooking temperature.
!
Typically, cooking temperatures for conventional ovens (fan-assisted) will be similar to
your new AirChef, but the overall time can be reduced by the pre-heat time of a regular
oven (provided you allow room for the hot air to circulate around the bowl and the food).
!
Experiment on first use, and ALWAYS test food is well cooked through, always select the
thickest part and check inside that it is properly cooked, not pink!
!
If in doubt, follow the Fan Assisted oven times on frozen and pre-packaged food, ignore
any reference to pre-heat (because the AirChef is so efficient and fast).
!
Anything you can cook in a conventional oven…you can cook in your new AirChef. Just
ensure the air can circulate around the food.
