8. OPERATION
Pay attention to safety guidelines.
You must always glue in a clockwise direction.
Working method
Turn the main switch (3) on. When the glue has heated to 150º
C, the advance switch (A) light will illuminate. This heating stage
can last 4 to 8 minutes depending on the condition and quantity
of granulate. After this initial period you can only glue short
pieces.
In order to glue larger pieces, or to glue a series of items, you
must wait about 20 minutes for all the granulate to melt. (Open
the lid to check this).
Place the guide plate

over the piece to be veneered and move
the pressure roller

close to the piece but without touching
it. Hold the machine over the piece with your right hand and
turn on the advance switch (A), which is on the handle for your
left hand.
Wait 2 or 3 seconds for the glue to flow.
Use your hand to push the edging through guides

until it reaches the advance roller

. The edging will be auto-
matically fed through to pressure roller (15) .
Press the pressure roller

against the piece, the edging will
stick and the rotating movement of the pressure roller will move
the machine forwards continuously and smoothly at a speed of
between 3.6 and 4 metres/minute, until it reaches the end of the
edging strip.
Do not try to go faster, maintain steady pressure on the pressure
roller and let the machine move at its own pace.
Should an edging get stuck, it must always be re-
moved in the same direction as the machine moves
it. Never pull an edging backwards, as the pressure
roller and the feed cylinder will get dirty from contact
with the glue.
We recommend gluing some test pieces first to practice using
the PEB150/PEB50.
Check and refill the glue tank regularly.
