Manual Vinz Teton Alarm Chain Lock
Activating the alarm
Insert the key and place the chain in the lock. Press
the red button and wait 5 seconds until the lock emits
an acoustic signal. The alarm is now activated and
sounds for 15 seconds as soon as the lock is moved.
This can be checked by tapping the lock with your
hand. With each further touch, the alarm sounds
again for 15 seconds.
The alarm can be switched off by inserting the key
into the lock.
Replacing the batteries
This lock is powered by 8 AG13 (LR44/LR1154) button cell batteries. To replace the
batteries, unscrew the yellow protective cap. Then the screws of the black cover can be
removed as shown in the illustrations below:
The batteries are in a transparent plastic battery holder. Replace the batteries here and
insert them as shown in the illustration below. Make sure the batteries are inserted
correctly and the +side is facing the chain. You can then check if the batteries are inserted
correctly by triggering the alarm.
