Walk Test
Walk Test is used for maintenance of the Gas Detection System. In walk test, the panel is put in test mode and
the performance of detectors and operation of panel can be verified without toggling any of the relay outputs.
Walk Test Procedure
•
Put a zone in Walk Test mode using keypad.
•
Before putting zone in walk test, ensure zone mode is enabled. If zone mode is “Disable” and then zone mode
is changed to walk test, walk test will not get performed.
•
Then give Gas to the detector connected to that zone.
•
When the detector senses gas, the NAC turns ON and LCD displays WT-Alarm for that particular zone.
•
The zone alarm LED, Siren and buzzer will turn 1 sec ON & 1 sec OFF three times.
•
The sensor will reset automatically and will come back to normal condition.
•
In this way multiple sensors in a single loop can be tested.
Note
: Repeat Walk test after every 3 months.
