6. Audio adjustments and inputs
6.1
Audio routing
The audio inputs 1-4 are logically connected to the video inputs 1-3. If one of input 5,6,7 or 8 is
selected audio input 4 is active at the output. It is possible to store parameters like volume, bass,etc.
for each of the inputs 1-8 independetly though.
6.2
Volume, Bass, Treble, Balance, Gain
Each stereo input offers separate adjustments for
VOLUME, BASS
,
TREBLE
,
GAIN
and
BALANCE.
The adjustments are stored separately for each channel and are recalled any time the
audio/video input is changed. The gain adjustment is needed to reduce the input level if distortion
occurs even with low volume setting.
7. Adjustments in the SYSTEM GROUP MENU
7.1
LCD Illumination, the display brightness may be adjusted in 3 levels
7.2
LEDs ON/OFF, activates/deactivates the INPUT LEDs.
7.3
IR REMOTE, activates/deactivates the IR Remote operation.
7.4
Coprocessor
The possible adjustments are
GAME-FILM-VIDEO-AUDIO
and have impact on the image
processing. Usually AUTO should be ok, but some source material is funny encoded and if
combing and jagged edges can be seen a manual selection of one of the available manual settings
may improve the result. Which mode gives best results is best determined on an experimental basis
and there are no recommendations but to try it.
7.5
Subtitle Processing
The subtitling which is available on DVDs can cause a problem in the AUTO film mode detection
of the processor. The activation can improve this.
7.6
SW-Download SELECT

7.7
Communication
The Vigatec scalers may be adjusted to 9600, 19200 and 38400 baud for the serial interface.
Default setting is 19200 baud.
7.8.
Initialisation, INIT
INIT activates Factory Defaults for all parameters. The buttons
SELECT
and
INIT
have to be
pressed simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.
7.9
RESET
RESET activates Factory Defaults for the active inputs. The buttons
SELECT
and
RESET
have to
be pressed simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.
