BIOS Setup Utlty s a program for confgurng 
the BIOS (Basc Input/Output System) settngs 
of the computer.

BIOS s a layer of software called frmware 
that translates nstructons from other layers of 
software nto nstructons so that the computer 
hardware devces can understand them. The 
BIOS settngs are needed by your computer 
to dentfy the types of nstalled devces and 
establsh specal features.

Ths chapter tells you how to use the BIOS 
Setup Utlty.
