Please note

Interrupting the external power supply to the fuel
cell module during power generation can result
in fault messages.
Only switch off the system at ON/OFF switch

on the programming unit of the control unit: See
page 28.
If an interruption of the power supply is neces-
sary: See the next chapter. If necessary, notify
your contractor.

Turning off power generation by the fuel cell module

Do 

not

 interrupt the external power supply to the fuel

cell module.
You can turn off power generation by the fuel cell mod-
ule. All functions of the heating circuits remain active.
Heat is generated exclusively by the external heat gen-
erator.

Frost protection for the appliance and the heating
water buffer cylinder is

Power generation will be interrupted. The fuel cell
module remains connected to the external power
supply.

1. 

Turn OFF power generation by the fuel cell mod-
ule: See page 27.

2. 

Check the operating status of the fuel cell module.
For this, call up the   

"Fuel cell"

 menu in 

"Information"

.

Before interrupting the power supply, ensure the
fuel cell module is in the 

"No power and heat

generation"

 operating status.

Note

It takes approx. 1 to 2 hours for the shutdown
phase of the fuel cell module to reach the 

"No

power and heat generation"

 operating status.

3. 

Turn off both ON/OFF switches 

D

 and 

F

 on the

programming unit: See page 28.

4. 

Close the gas shut-off valve.

Please note

If outside temperatures of below 3 °C are
expected, take appropriate measures to pro-
tect the system from frost.
If necessary, contact your contractor.

Note

As they are not being supplied with power, the circu-
lation pumps and diverter valves may seize up.

■

If your system has been shut down for a prolonged
period, you may need to reset the 

"Time"

 and

"Date"

: See page 19.

Interrupting the external power supply to the system

Frost protection for the appliance and the heating
water buffer cylinder is 

not

 active.

■

The system is disconnected from the external power
supply. The fuel cell module is turned off.
Power generation is switched off.

Note

If the duration of the interruption of the external power
supply to the system is more than 6 weeks, trouble-
free operation of the fuel cell module can no longer be
guaranteed. If the external power supply to the system
is interrupted for more than 6 weeks, please notify your
heating contractor.
