Operation
DANGER
Leaks in the exhaust system can cause
gas to escape.
Risk to life due to explosion or
poisoning
► No naked flames; do not smoke.
► Shut down machine; switch on
ventilation.
► Leave danger zone.
► Call maintenance service.
WARNING
Damage and injury due to incorrect
operation.
Serious material damage to the
machine and its surroundings
► Pay particular attention to the
safety instructions in section 3.
Keep a written record (operating log
– see appendix
8.1) of operation of the EM-20/39. Copy the form from
the appendix for this purpose and fill it out accordingly.
5.1
Switching on
(1) Check that all safety equipment is installed and
fully functional. The gas tap must be open. The gas
pressure must be 20-50 mbar.
(2) The CHP unit must first be set to automatic mode.
Touch the start button on the touch display. The
ON button and the "Automatic mode" indicator turn
green.

(3) Turn the "Heating mode selection" switch on
the control panel (Fig. 9/1) to the position
"Internal control"
– the CHP unit will start in
automatic mode.
(4) If the CHP unit is to be started via a higher
ranking control system, the "Heating mode
selection switch" has to be turned to the
position "External control"
– the CHP unit
will start once the start signal has been initiated
by the control system.
