Vacuum tube collector
■ Do not install the collectors when there
is strong sunlight.
■ When installing in regions where low
temperatures are to be expected, fill
the solar thermal system with anti-
freeze.
Viessmann recommends the following
(see table):
Quantity of antifreeze in % 10 15 20 24 28 30 35
Frost protection temperature in °C –5 –10 –15 –20 25 –30 –40
The following jobs must only be carried
out by qualified contractors, taking into
account the conditions applicable on site
(see also GB 50057-2010):
■ Connection of collector system to an
existing or new lightning protection
system
■ Provision of local earthing
Danger
Falling objects and tools can lead
to life-threatening accidents.
■ The installation area
must be
able to support four times the
weight of the filled vacuum tube
collector (for weight, see
page 38).
■ Secure the vacuum tube col-
lector with ropes.
■ Secure tools and equipment
with safety devices.
DHW cylinder
■ The installation area must be able to
support four times the weight of the fil-
led DHW cylinder (for weight, see
page 38).
■ A cold water connection and a 220 V
power socket must be available at the
installation site.

Danger
Hot steam and water can
escape from the safety valves.
This may cause scalding.
Install a drainage system near
the DHW cylinder. Ensure that
the connection between the
drain lines and the drainage
system does not become
detached.
