1. Wichtige Hinweise
Lesen Sie vor der ersten Benutzung des Produk-
tes bzw. dessen Einbau diese Anleitung komplett
und aufmerksam durch. Bewahren Sie diese An-
leitung auf. Sie ist Teil des Produktes.
Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Das Produkt darf ausschließlich dieser Anleitung
gemäß verwendet werden. Dieses Gerät
ist bestimmt
– zum Einbau in Modelleisenbahnanlagen,
– zum Anschluss an eine Digitalzentrale (Mot.
oder DCC) mit einer Ausgangsspannung von
max. 30 Volt am Hauptgleisausgang bzw. an
den
Viessmann
Commander
5300,
– zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultieren-
de Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht.
Lieferumfang
Kontrollieren Sie nach dem Auspacken den Liefer-
umfang auf Vollständigkeit:
► Koppler 5302,
► Montagematerial (Schrauben),
► diese Anleitung.
2. Einführung / Eigenschaften
Der Koppler stellt über den leistungsfähigen
SpeedBus die Verbindung zwischen Motorola-
bzw. DCC-Zentralen und dem
Viessmann
Com-
mander
her. Damit lassen sich bereits vorhan-
dene Digitalzentralen der Systeme Märklin-Moto-
rola und DCC als Fahrgeräte oder Stellpulte wei-
ter nutzen. Zusätzlich ist auf diese Weise die ein-
fache Verknüpfung zweier
Commander
möglich.
Der Gleisausgang der bisherigen Zentrale wird
lediglich und ausschließlich an den Eingang des
Kopplers angeschlossen. Der Koppler lauscht auf
die eingehenden Signale der Zentrale, bereitet di-
ese Informationen auf und gibt sie über den
Viess-
mann
SpeedBus an den
Commander
weiter. Der
Commander
wertet diese Befehle aus und sendet
sie an die Anlage.
Wichtig:
Die „alte“ Zentrale darf keine
Gleisabschnitte mehr mit Strom versorgen,
da ansonsten Kurzschlussgefahr besteht!
Funktionsmodelle ohne Verbindung zur An-
lage können betrieben werden.

Using the product for its correct
purpose
This product must only be used as required in
this manual. This control module is intended
– for installation in model railroad layouts,
– for connection to a digital command station
(Mot. or DCC) with an output voltage of max.
30 V~ at the track output and for connection to

Commander
5300,
– for operation in a dry area.
Using the product for any other purpose is not
approved and is considered incorrect. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any
damage resulting from the improper use of this
product.
Checking the package contents
Check the contents of the package for complete-
ness after unpacking:
► Coupler 5302,
► mounting material (screws),
► this manual.
2. Introduction / Properties
The Coupler allows to connect older DCC or Mo-
torola digital command stations to the
Viessmann
Commander
via the SpeedBus. This function
makes it possible to use existing command sta-
tions further on as switch boards or locomotion
controllers. Two
Commanders
may be connected
by using a Coupler.
The wiring is very simple: The track output of
the older command station has only and exclu-
sively connected to the input of the Coupler. The
Coupler listens to the incoming signals of the
command station and sends these signals via the
Viessmann
SpeedBus to the
Commander
. The
Commander
interprets the orders and sends them
to the layout.
Caution: The “old” command station must
not be connected to track sections – danger
of short circuit!
Function models without connection to the
layout may be controlled directly.
