Adjusting staple drive depth

Disconnect air supply.

Use thumb or forefinger to rotate adjustment
wheel (1/16" change from minimum to maximum).

It is highly recommended that scrap tubing of the
same dimension is used for test staples.

Depth of drive can also be modified by changing
air pressure to tool.
Clearing a staple jam
1
Disconnect air supply.
2
Pull feeder shoe to locked position and remove
staples.
3
Release front latch and open access door.
4
Remove jammed staple.
Care and cleaning
1
Use recommended pneumatic oil (5-10 drops) in
the air inlet twice daily depending on frequency of
tool use).

Wipe tool clean and inspect for wear and free
motion of safety element and trigger.

Do not soak.
4
Use only non-flammable cleaning solutions.
Loading
1
Pull feeder shoe back to the locked position, this
will displace the magazine cover.
2
Place strip of staples onto magazine rail.
3
With hands away from magazine, press feeder
shoe lock button and allow to slide forward.
Driving a Staple
1
Place tubing guides over tubing.
2
Depress safety element and pull trigger.

Viega Pneumatic Staple Gun
Viega products are designed to be
installed by licensed and trained plumbing
and mechanical professionals who are
familiar with Viega products and their installation.
Installation by non-professionals may void
Viega LLC’s warranty.
When securing tubing it is not
recommended to use “contact actuation”
(holding the trigger and actuating using
depression of safety element)
Staple can contact tubing but should not
restrict axial movement.
Safety
■
Always read and understand tool labels and manual
before operation.
■
Always use appropriate safety equipment.
■
Do not operate power tools while tired or under the
influence of mind altering substances.
■
Never use this tool in an explosive environment.
■
Never use any bottled gas under any pressure as a
power source for this tool.
■
Always act as if the tool contains fasteners; keep
pointed away from yourself and others, remove
finger from trigger until ready to actuate.
■
Operate tool at lowest pressure required for the
application.
■
Use only clean, dry, regulated compressed air.
■
Do not drive fasteners too close to end of
workpiece; this can result in breakage of workpiece.
■
Do not use this tool as a hammer or any other
implement outside the tools intended function.
■
Disconnect tool from air supply before performing
maintenance of any kind.
■
Do not operate tool if safety element, trigger,
springs, or other parts are missing or damaged.
■
Do not connect tools to air pressure that can
potentially exceed 200 psig (13.7bar).
■
Air compressors used to supply this tool must meet
ASME B 19.1-1995 (US) “Safety Standard For Air
Compressor Systems”.
■
Air hose must have a minimum rating of 150 psi
(10.3 bar) or 150% of the maximum pressure
produced by the system, whichever is higher.
■
The tool and air supply hose must have a hose
coupling such that all air pressure is removed from
the tool when disconnected.
■
Do not load fasteners with either trigger or safety
element depressed.
■
Always have secure footing when using tool.
