Connecting and aligning the transmitter and receiver
•
Connect the transmitter and receiver to separate 12VDC supply voltage (white wire to positive terminal, brown wire
to negative).
•
The easiest method of aligning the transmitter and receiver is by using a picture signal (test picture). For this, simply
connect a video camera to the “Video” input of the transmitter and a monitor to the “Video” output of the receiver.
•
If the BNC connectors on the connection cables for video/audio do not fit the connectors on the video camera or
monitor, you must obtain suitable adapters locally.
•
First point the transmitter and receiver at each other “by eye”, ensuring that there is a free line of sight between the two.
•
Tighten the screws of the swivel mounting 6 of the transmitter, thus locking the transmitter into position.
•
Now align the receiver. Note that the receiver should, wherever possible, be mounted with the same orientation as
the transmitter (normally horizontal).
•
If there is no free line of sight between the transmitter and the receiver, the mount the receiver as decribed in the
section “Installation cases” on page 10.
•
If the picture and sound quality is satisfactory, secure the receiver by tightening the screw of the swivel mounting 6.
