12 Remote Keyboard
Two remote keyboards may be connected to the Vi400 to provide control from another
room. Simply connect the VI400 to the keyboard using Cat 5 (or similar twin twisted pair
cable).
Connect the keyboard to a monitor using a BNC co-ax cable. All the keys of the Vi400 are
duplicated on the remote keyboard and the Vi400 may be controlled in the same way.
If the keyboard is more than about 100 metres away from the Vi400, then the monitor
should be connected to the Vi400 separately via a BNC cable (RG59) to ensure best picture
quality. The CAT5 data connection should operate up to 500 metres.
The keyboard and monitor may control and view either the main monitor or the spot monitor
according a menu setting (see section
