VideoLogic Vivid!XS Installation Guide
Installing Vivid!XS
You install Vivid!XS in two stages: first the hardware (the card itself), then the software (driver
software included on the CD).
Installing the hardware
Warning: Always switch off your computer before removing the cover and observe the warnings
specified in the manufacturer’s documentation.
1. Switch off your computer, monitor, and other devices connected to your computer. Leave
the power cable connected to the power outlet to ensure grounding. If the power outlet has
a switch, turn it off.
2. Disconnect the monitor cable from your computer.
3. Remove the computer’s cover.
4. Locate the AGP slot, remove the back plate cover or
existing AGP card.
5. Touch the computer’s bare metal chassis with the back
of your hand to discharge any static.
6. If you have onboard video that is disabled with a
hardware jumper setting, disable it now.
7. Align Vivid!XS with the slot, and firmly press it into the slot as shown
above. Do not use excessive force.
8. Secure the card using the screw that you removed earlier.
9. Replace the computer’s cover.
