FRONT PANEL

Input
Plug your guitar in here!

Clean Gain
This adjusts the input sensitivity. Use low settings for maximum clean headroom and higher settings
when you want to introduce more natural valve overdrive to your tone.
Balancing your input gain level with your master volume level is crucial in delivering the tone and feel
that works best for you.

Pull Crunch
The Clean Gain control incorporates a pull-switch. This can be used to introduce more gain into the Clean
Channel for Crunchy rhythm playing or just to add a bit more character to the clean sound. The amount
of ‘Crunch’ will vary depending on how much Clean Gain is dialed in. The Crunch function can also be
switched in & out using the supplied 1 way footswitch plugged into the Crunch footswitch socket and
this is independent of where the Pull Switch is positioned.

Channel Select Switch
The Silverback has two channels that you can switch between using this front-panel toggle, or a remote
footswitch plugged into the Channel/Boost footswitch socket.
The clean channel is selected by switching the selector to the left.

Overdrive Gain
Exactly the same as the clean channel, this controls the input gain… except here there’s a whole load
more of it! Run it lower for crunchy sounds, in the mid-range for thicker overdrive, and crank it up for
the fullest distortion.

Boost
The overdrive channel in The Silverback also has a switchable gain boost, which is accessible via the
footswitch or front panel toggle switch. It enables you to go from crunchy rhythm guitar to sustaining
lead guitar tones.

Bass
The Silverback has a shared EQ section for both channels. The Bass controls the low frequency content of
your sound. Higher levels of bass can be good at low volumes, but take care when running the amp
louder – you may find you need to reduce the bass control. As with all the EQ pots, adjust to taste!

Middle
Controls the midrange frequencies in your sound. Run the middle control higher to help cut through a
band mix, or generally fatten and ‘widen’ your sound. Run it lower for a lighter, less ‘in-your-face’ kind
of sound.

Treble
Controls the high frequency content of your sound and is also a powerful tone shaper when it comes to
overdrive character.
