Assembling the Baseplate to the Monitor
To assemble the baseplate to the monitor(s), use the following procedure.
1. Turn the monitor(s) upside down on a clean, flat work space, making sure that the front of the monitor(s) is
accessible.
2. Remove the screws securing the monitor feet. Retain these screws. If the VM5123 monitor has feet with
screws in them, continue with step 3. If the VM5123 has feet held on by rivets, do not remove the feet and
go directly to step 5.
3. Replace the monitor feet with the spacers supplied in the accessory pack, but do not insert screws at this
time.
4. For all monitors except the VM5123 with rivetted feet: Turn the baseplate upside down and center it on the
spacers. The flanges on the front and rear edges bend toward the bottom of the baseplate. Be sure the front
of the baseplate faces the front of the monitor. (The word FRONT is stamped on the baseplate.) Using the
screws from the monitor’s feet (use the metric screws supplied with the VM5123RK for VM5123 monitors
with feet with screws), attach the baseplate to the monitor.
5. For VM5123 with rivetted feet: Remove the five screws from the monitor bottom. Discard these screws.
Install the baseplate to the monitor bottom by aligning the holes in the baseplate with the five holes in the
monitor bottom and secure it with the five sheet metal screws provided in the accessory kit.
6. Turn the assembly right side up.
